Wednesday in the news room

By Brian Webb

Busy day today in the newsroom.

Working on two stories so far.

One is on a former wife involved with the polygamists in Colorado City. Another 3TV news crew shot an interview with her today as she prepared to drive there to see some of her family members who still live there. She packed a bullet proof vest along with her clothing. And was also on the phone saying she wanted to "wave to Warren Jeffs with him behind bars".

The second story is about a Goodyear High School teacher/coach who was badly hurt in a freak car accident.

A large sharp object flew through the windshield of his car, hit him and caused him to fall 40 feet off the highway. A good Samaritan stopped and cared for him, probably saving his life.

We're hoping to chat with his students and the woman who helped him.

For me it's strange to be doing a story that doens't have something to do with the Ahwatukee little league baseball team.

Photographer Armando Aguilera and I followed the team to the little league world series in Pennsylvania and have done a story on the team most everyday for the past two weeks.

We really had a great time getting to know the players, coaches and parents.
1,2,3 DAWGS! 1,2,3 RUFF!

Oh, and by the way, Tina, our internet guru, really likes my watch today!
