Glendale Glitters

By Brian Webb

I was at the Fiesta Bowl on Monday. What a game huh!?!
Too bad for me I was in the parking lot -- preparing a story for the 10pm news.
I missed it all!!!.
Those are the breaks.

Anyway, I can't help but get excited to be living in a metropolitan area with all this action.
The sporting events alone are world class.
Three big bowl games in a few weeks... followed by the Superbowl next year. Wow!
I just moved here from Kansas City and let me tell you, smaller midwest cities like
that would kill for just one bowl game.

It is a little sad to me that the stadium was built out in the suburbs. I love the electricity of a bussling downtown. ( I grew up in small town Kansas, population 16,000 )
But, in my opinion Glendale grabbed the ball, went for it and seems to be doing it right. With the Coyotes playing next door and the addition of the Westgate shopping district, Glendale is now on the map as a first rate destination.
And with many more exciting events to come, I'm looking forward to getting inside to see the action.

Go Glendale!!!
