Just a follow-up to the blog I wrote after the helicopter accident last month. First, and foremost, I want to thank everyone who wrote, emailed and said hi when you saw me at the ballgame or the mall. We all tried to get back to everyone, but we were in the middle of an email switchover, and I'm told some emails got lost in the shuffle. Be assured, your support, your words of encouragement helped all of us. And it is still helping today. Many of you are asking how we're doing. We're doing OK ...we have ups and downs. Those guys are never far from our thoughts. Some days are better than others, but we're moving forward, little by little.
How about Scotts motorcycle ride Saturday the 18th? That was fantastic! What a great turnout! What a great crowd! What cool motorcycles! We were humbled by the thousands of you who turned out to ride. Thanks to everyone who showed up and thanks to Scott for putting that together.
Makes me think I need to learn how to ride a motorcycle. 5 CommentsLeave a comment |

Just a short comment, I know it has to be difficult to get over the tragic deaths of the fellew reporters who lost their lives. But we need to remember that they would want to be honored in the sky, not from the ground. I play back the scene in my head of Tom Cruise in "Top Gun" right after the death of his partner, his trainer kept saying "Get Him Back In The Air, The Longer It Is After The Accident, the Harder It will be for him to engage again", the same goes for Bruce, he needs to get back up soon. We all miss the fallen, but we miss Bruce too. Please Get Him Back In The Air, even if it is just for one Broadcast a day or every few days, he needs to honor them, the way he would want to be honored if it was him, Let Him Fly with the Angels again. Lovingly, David
Just wanted to let Bruce know that we miss him and we're hoping he's doing well. Get up and fly Bruce, Scott and Jim would want you to be up there. It's not the same without you helping us to get to work and home each and everyday. I know it's hard but remember, you have alot of people who love you and miss you each and everyday. God Bless. A faithful viewer. Shelby
Bruce, I agree, we do miss you very much, but alo understand it will be the second hardest thing in your life to do. Perhaps it will help you, to remind you, you will not be flying alone, you have to heavenly angels holding your own wings. When you are ready, we will all be here with you.

I am still looking forward to the day when Bruce will return to the skies to report on traffic and news. I want him to be full prepared, mentally, before he goes up again, though. I never want to see another tragedy like we just had. I had to drive past Steele Indian School park the other day and just being near the site of the crash sickened me. So I have a small inkling of what all of you at 3TV have been dealing with. God bless and keep you all as you recover emotionally from the horrendous tragedy. I am sending a special hug just for Bruce. I know what it feels like to lose a friend tragically.
I hope Bruce is doing well. I miss showing us the news of Arizona, and I know Scott and Jim would want him to fly again and honor them. Get back up soon Bruce we miss you alot.
