Sticky, red child slime update

By Catherine, azfamily.com Staff

The stains are gone. The smell is gone. The memory, however, remains.

After reading my last blog, a dear friend in Ladera Ranch, Calif., came to my rescue.

Kim is the mother of two beautiful little kids and thus familiar with all sorts of child stains.

"I know the smell well," she e-mailed me.

Kim sent me on a mission to the store for Shout® gel. Not the spray. The gel.

Admittedly it took a couple of washings, but the stuff worked wonders. I can now wear my shirt again.

I guess the moral of the story is this. If you're standing in line -- any line really -- behind a parent who has already mentioned that his or her child is sick, stand back. Way back.

And make sure you have a bottle of Shout® gel on hand.
