August 2006 ArchivesSomeone asked me the other day what it was like doing a taping of a TV show. Now, nearly 250 TV shows later, I still remember the excitement I felt when I did my first show, which happened to be the Joe Franklin Show. In case you haven't heard of him, he's in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the longest running talk show… I think his first set was in Lincoln's log Cabin …yeah well, you get the point. Reading this headline you would think this is a no brainer, but when people are on mission logic goes out the window. Case in point. I had just gotten back on a Monday night from flying around the country for Auntie Anne's pretzels and sleeping in a tree in Georgia. My mom, who prides herself on always being up on the latest weather report, called to say we were going to have a major heat wave starting on Tuesday.
