905 N. Fourth Street, Phoenix Situated in an historic house in the Roosevelt District, Fate is funky, arty and just plain cool. At least that's the consensus among the legions of 20-somethings who keep this tiny restaurant and its outdoor bar busy into the wee hours. What's not to love about the community table, edgy local artwork, unisex bathrooms, and amazing outdoor sculpture of a head, complete with brain? Chef-owner Johnny Chu features pan-Asian cuisine, including Saigon egg rolls, pot stickers, lemongrass satay, noodle dishes and stirfries -- many of which are vegetarian or can be ordered that way. Nice beer selection and a separate gallery coming soon. Lunch M-F; Dinner M-Sa. $-$$ 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

Tried a new cafe, located at Rural and Ray Roads in Tempe. I understand it has only been opened a week. Food great, nice small atmosphere, priced right, clean and nice crew working there. I hope the Sandstone Cafe is in business for a long time. I will be a repeat customer.
