800 N. Park Avenue, Casa Grande
520-836-2045

Loyalists happily drive from Tucson and Phoenix for an evening at BeDillon's, located in a graceful adobe home surrounded by one of the state's most stunning cactus gardens. It's a magical, not-of-this-world sort of place, so steeped in Arizona history it even sports a small museum, chock full of Native American and early settler artifacts. But then, you don't have to be a history buff to appreciate the charmingly rustic setting or the satisfying food. Begin with signature bacon-wrapped black olives, stuffed with jalapeƱo cheese, then move on to hand-cut steaks or cedar-planked salmon, served with mango salsa. And for dessert, don't miss Jean's buttery apple cake, another fave with folks who are bedazzled by BeDillon's. Lunch Tu-Fri, Dinner Tu-Sat. $$-$$$
