I met the Dousts in person as week ago. I went to the home on a "scouting" trip- both to gauge the extent of their "haunting" and to talk about bringing a television news camera in to witness tonight's rituals.

Shortly after dinner, a team of "ghost-busters" will arrive at the home. They've got a slew of what I call "magic spells" to rid the home of the spirits that just won't leave on their own. I've seen them in action... it's cool stuff. I'll add a link to the video once it's edited for television.

Dave Daust says the ghosts actually talk to him. One tried to give him a bouquet of roses. Kathy says they ring the doorbell, knock on walls and open and close cabinet doors. Ruth has felt their touch. Her shoulder, her hair and even her breast (although I can't imagine what a ghost would get out of that!).

I gave them a lecture about how their thoughts contribute to the "haunting". You know that, right? Thoughts become reality. All three of them have daily discussions about what spirit activity they felt throughout the day or night. They think about this stuff all the time. I think I was more stern than I meant to be when I told Dave, "That's not helping. Do you understand that?" But it's true! It's sort of like dreams- the day's or the week's events can sit around in your memory and then converge in a bizarre dream one night. The more time you spend thinking about an issue, the more likely you are to dream about it. The more likely you are to attract or notice more of the same in your daily life.

It's so much harder to explain it in writing!!

Anyhow, Grace and her team will be at the house tonight. I have all confidence that the "house clearing" will have a positive effect on the family. They need some peace, whether it comes from banishing the spirits or simply banishing thoughts of the spirits.

As for me, I'd just like to see another ghost!
