It seems the whole world knows about the troubled lives of stars like Paris, Britney and Lindsay. Beckwith does not believe in giving advice. Instead, he believes life will teach them all they need to know. "Hopefully, with enough pain, they begin to ask some very tough questions and turn their lives around and get to [a state of] creativitiy and out of the schlock that they're involved in. And it is schlock.

We caught up with Dr. Beckwith in Mesa at "The Awakening Conference", a three-day retreat to nourish the soul and heal old wounds to the psyche. He believes all people, celebrities included, are traveling a life path designed specifically for them. A path with lessons and rewards along the way.

"If you end up in rehabilitation center with a bald head wondering who you are, you look at yourself in the mirror and at some point you're going to ask another question. Rather than, 'How am I going to get my next record?', hopefully you'll be asking another question like, "What is the real meaning of happiness? What is the real meaning of love? How can I raise my children with greater values? And what's beautiful about the Universe, it will answer those kinds of questions. It will start to bring people, books and friends into your life to help you answer those questions."
