So, there is a phrase that begins with something like too much of a good thing.... But I had never really experienced it until I watched THE movie, read THE book, then learned THE Secret.

Being a down-to-earth practical person describes me perfectly but lately as I approach middle age I have begun to transform my thinking more globally and spiritually. Recently, my husband started working on stories of the unexplained. He has always been fascinated with that stuff. I, however, have never given it much thought. But being the good wife that I am, I have listened to him talk about work and the various people that he encounters for stories and have even joined him on a few ghost hikes and hunts. So when he started doing stories on The Secret, naturally I listened and became somewhat interested, while keeping my skeptical nature. Well- things have changed!

In a previous blog Scott wrote about my experience with trying out the Secret and the free diet Cokes. Since the night I placed my order to the universe for a free diet coke (a mere 3 weeks ago) my cup runneth over! So far, 4 diet cokes have been delivered to me free of charge! Yesterday at work I went to the vending machine for a diet coke and out popped 3! I only have two hands, so I gave one to a man passing by. Then today I got another one from the Costco food court! Every time it happens I get that happy, excited feeling, just like when you discover a wonderful SECRET that no one knows but you.

It is not that I am not grateful for the free drinks- I am, I am! But when is enough, enough? And in reality, should I have told the Chili’s waiter he forgot to charge me for my drink? Should I have called the vending machine company to tell them of the malfunction? And should I also have returned the free cup back to the Costco counter? I am working on becoming a better person to the world and I fear this Secret I have learned to use will make me greedy, and cause me to lose that special feeling. That is a question I have yet to answer. But in the mean time- the drinks are on me!!!
